Weekends are too short. I think I have finally reached the point that I dread going to work on Monday. I know this is fairly typical of just about any job you get..who wants to work? (Unless you have your dream job). I have to say I lasted a lot longer at this job than a lot of others before I started feeling the dread of Mondays. I have worked here now over 7 months and I am just starting to feel this way. A lot of that I think has to do with the fact that summer is quickly approaching and I hate being inside during the summer. AND, partly I really just wish I had a little kid at home to watch after and enjoy my days with them rather than at a desk answering telephone calls to a bunch of strangers. Complaining I guess doesn't really get me anywhere so I won't bore you with anymore details. So for now, hurray for the weekends...I wish they were longer.
Goals for this week:
1. Start a Toning exercise routine.
2. No going out to eat (except for lunch today..oops)
3. Get some wheat for my food storage.
4. Scriptures and Prayer EVERY night!
5. Re-Organize Food Cupboards
6. Work on One Graphic design project.

Never would have thought.
A few weekends ago Andrew took me somewhere I never thought I'd be. After much convincing he finally got me to go catch pigeons with him. (He collects pigeons for our dog trainer for $). This experience included climbing over fences walking (with goloshes) through cow barns...and all that entails. Searching, blinding and catching pigeons. Now BEFORE you all think I am insane, I have to tell you, it was really fun. I felt like a little kid.
We went into one barn that had a bunch of young cows in it and most of them are scared of you and will run away but this one was following right behind me as I walked around and kinda spooked me, but I was nervous to spook it, so when I stopped walking it just stood there and started chowing down on my coat sleeve or my gloves. After I stopped being nervous I was able to laugh at this really friendly cow. They are mostly harmless.
By the end of the night Andrew and I had figured a good strategy for collecting the most possible pigeons. I would walk in the barn and clap or whistle to scare the pigeons and Andrew would wait outside with a net in both hands ready to catch. Andrew thinks we make a good team and even had me go with him again yesterday. (He still had to do some major convincing the 2nd time, even though I had fun the first time). In one hour we collected 12 pigeons...that's 36 bucks...not bad if you ask me.

Bathroom!!
BEFORE
I was so excited when I asked my ladlord if we could paint and she said yes. She confessed that the color (PINK) they chose didn't turn out quite like they were expecting. After living in the bathroom for over a year I knew exactly what color I wanted and I have to say, I think it turned out great!

If I were to be an animal, I would be a bird.
One of the things that I love about living in Benson is all of the birds we have around here. Naturally with the water and the fields it becomes a ideal spot for birds to be. Last night as Andrew and I were going to bed he asked me what bird we were hearing and he told me it was a Killdeer
That just to name some of the bigger birds. There are also pheasant, if you remember that was the one that I hit with my car. And pigeons and robins and all different kind of song birds. Oh and of course, seagals. Ducks. I keep thinking of them. I love birds, so this is cool to me.
This morning along the side
of the road I also
saw a Sandhill crane
see Great Blue Heron
Yesterday I saw two white Pelicans
And of course there are plenty of Goosen (as Andrew likes to call them)
And Eagles and Hawkes
That just to name some of the bigger birds. There are also pheasant, if you remember that was the one that I hit with my car. And pigeons and robins and all different kind of song birds. Oh and of course, seagals. Ducks. I keep thinking of them. I love birds, so this is cool to me. Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Economic Stimulus Check
So Andrew and I have been trying to decide what we want to do with our Economic Stimulus check. We have thought about doing the responsible thing and putting towards paying off the cars or saving it (hah). These ideas of course quickly get pushed aside when we see our T.V. that has missing buttons and things (Andrew's parent's old T.V.). There is also the idea of spliting it and letting each of us each pick whatever we want. I would probably get some new clothes and a new chair for my office. In the end we will have to see where we sit and decide what to do. What are you going to do with yours?

Puppies
Okay, so I am a little crazy.. We have that fully established right. SO, I was looking through some pictures the other day of these cute littl guys and emailed Andrew about a breif conversation we had a few days before. It was a short email that said "if you wanted to get a girl vizsla I would let you." his response was "what spurred that" and I told him that I had been looking at some pictures. I was thinking that this would be at some time in the future, end of story. Right. The next day Andrew emailed me picture after picture of Vizsla puppies and links to people that were selling them and which ones were girls and what their bloodlines were like. By the time we got home from work he had already called the people we got Nash from and changed his registration so he could be a registered Stud. He had also called every place that was selling puppies in the state (no exageration, he really called all of them). He also called the guy that had trained Nash and Skip and asked him about his and blood lines and such. After talking to Andrew when we got home I explained that I was supportive of the idea, but there things I wanted to get done FIRST. Before the day was over Matt, the trainor, said that he had a connection with a guy that just had puppies 2 weeks ago and if they could trade for Pigeons he would work out a deal with him. Well, with only 2 females in the litter Andrew has it worked out that he gets first pick (or I get first pick, because she is technically going to be mine) of which puppy we want. They are only 3 weeks old so it would be April before we could "check them out" So, less than a week later Andrew and I
are expecting...another puppy.I know I am crazy but I have to say that I am a little excited :)
PLUS!!! Get this...Wednesday was the big day for Alex the cat to get fixed...Andrew was teasing him the night before and telling him that we were going to cut his manhood off, well....guess who hasn't seen Alex since.!!!..yeah, that is right Alex ran away, literally hourse before we were going to take him to the vet to fix him to keep him from running away! I am actually really sad about it, I hope he is just exploring and will come back *sniff* I left his food outside in case he comes back when we aren't home...but it was still full after leaving it out yesterday. *sniff*

Twilight
I have added the trailor to the new twilight movie to my sidebar! I am very excited to see what it will be like. I am sure like all book-movies, it won't be as good as the book, but even if it is only a fraction as good, I think it will still be good. I think they picked a really good person to be Belle, Edward...is close but not quite what I pictured, that is okay though, I can still keep my "more perfect" Edward to myself.. :) I say we all have a party and watch it together! Unfortunately we have about 10 months before it will be in theaters, but I am already excited, her next book will be out before then (Aug) so we have something to keep us happy until then. Meanwhile I think I will read them all again.

Go Aggies Go Aggies Hey Hey Hey!

Andrew and I went our first Aggie basketball game together the other day and it was SO MUCH FUN! First of all, the fact the both Andrew and I haven't been to a game together is astounding. Without knowing it, some of my first memories of Andrew were of him front row (behind the basket) with his mullet wig at the games. I being on the kitty-corner front section I had a good view of the other front-rowmen and they were well...embarrassing, but they certainly added to the crowd. We went to a Louisianna Tech game which in the past I remembered as a team that we almost always beat at home, but lost to in the Big West tournament. SO, that was the game I picked thinking it would be a good one. Well, it was a good one, however we completely creamed them so the suspense wasn't there, but I thoroughly enjoyed being there with Andrew and even though we were in the old people section, it was great to have someone with equal enthusiasm for the game. Oh...Good times. I am pretty sure if I had the money I would buy us season tickets next year. Andrew and I have only been gone 2 years so we saw a lot of old friends (from a distance) which I am sure added to the fun. Part of us felt like we should be in the student section, but then there was another part of us that said "there is a time when you should move on" We thought this as we saw some of our "old" friends still there cheering after...7yrs. They were still cheering some of the cheers that Andrew and his friend Duffy made up, and the aggiettes are still terrible dancers in my opinion. AND the current big blue I actually have been on a group date with. I loved it.
