Summer has begun!

We took care of our grand-puppy Juno for a week.  Tom and Mateja decided to take us out to dinner as a thank you.  There is a beautiful little river rock behind the Elements restaurant and two sets of baby ducks running around.  Lizy in this picture turned while she was trying to catch them.
She always comes and snuggles with me in the mornings.  I look at her and see her little face and think she looks like a perfect porcelain doll.
Krystal sent Lizy some "paint nail polish" (as she calls it) for her fingerns.  (yes the N in fingers was there on purpose because that is how she says it.  Naturally when Grandma came to visit they both got different colors on every finger.

Elizabeth is going to be quite the chef someday, she made these waffles all by herself with only instructions from Mom and Grandma.
I love living here in Benson. We have a lovely spot on the water.  The small tree in the background had a deer feeding next to it.  Lovely evening.

CARS AND ROCKETS

So for the last little while Andrew (I don't know why) has been telling Elizabeth that she will be learning how to drive in kindergarten. It has been an ongoing conversation for the last few months. Then this week out of the blue she asked me "Mom, can we visit the moon sometime"? I just kinda laughed and said "maybe, ask your dad". I brought it up later when Andrew was there and he said "what?, you want to go to the moon, you can't learn to drive a rocket until the third grade". This morning in the car Lizy is playing with the music (she's my D.J. in the car) and asks "Mom, when am I going to learn to drive". Obviously a little concerned that they hadn't gone over it yet in Kindergarten. I just laughed. I warned her teacher today that she was expecting to learn to drive. She laughed and we are conspiring to come up with a note that says her dad has to teach her how to drive as homework.
