Fun, Interesting Day

Today has been a fun and interesting day.  I woke up to Maverick peaking his head in my room.  Moments later he walked in with a tray.  He said he thought I would like the raisin cereal and some string cheese.  He then waltzed in with a DP from yesterday that I put in the fridge already opened.  What a sweetheart.  This boy has a heart of gold.

The kids decided that they were going to head over to the Bean's new house to wait for them until they got there.

Next we went to lunch with family to celebrate the Beans buying the house across the street from us!!  Dale, the man that used to live there, got a girlfriend and decided to live at her place.  The house is in terrible shape, but it is here in beautiful Benson.  Hours after the closing Andrew and Bean were already in the basement knocking down walls.
When we got home from lunch we spent a little more time at the house looking at things.  Brynlee came over to the new (old) house in tears with a scratch on her cheek.  Turns out Harley, our horse bit her!  I'm sure it wasn't malicious, but he got her good, it was heartbreaking.  Lizzy followed behind with Easton who had clearly had a blowout and left remnants all over her arm.  I gingerly carried Easton back to the house trying to avoid getting a mess all over me, while Carillisa carried Brynlee.  Gratefully Carillisa was there to help Brynlee and get her bandaids and love while I cleaned the worst diaper he has ever had.  I carefully pulled off Easton's clothes and carried him, dangling by his arms, straight to the tub.  The diaper was sent straight to the outside bin and rinsed with two rounds of bathwater to get clean. (GAG!)  Fabreeze and open windows were needed to take care of the smell.  Once that was taken care of, I cuddled with Brynlee who was still sore.

The Beans headed back to Spanish Fork after some planning and thinking about the house.  They plan to be back next week with tools.  We started thinking about some plans of our own and needed to make dinner.  After making omelets and toast Lizzy complained, for the second time today, that her toast tasted like cinnamon.  I made the toast so I didn't see how it could.  Mine tasted fine, but I took a bite of hers anyway.  Holy moly, the cinnamon powder that I expected she was talking about wasn't what I tasted.  Cinnamon oil.  Hot hot hot.  It was a brand new loaf of bread and a clean plate so I knew it wasn't that....the butter.  I found the oil on the shelf right above the butter plate.  Maverick's face gave away his guilt immediately.  Why....we still don't know, but he got to eat Lizzy's toast as a punishment and he learned exactly why you shouldn't put cinnamon oil on butter.

It has been more adventure than typical, it'll be one of those days we can look back on and laugh.
