Back to School

After some thought and research I have decided to go back to school. I am going to get my second Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have really enjoyed teaching school and think that it is the best option for the future potential of having a family. Since having kids has taken its time, it seems an ideal time to make this happen. I had a very good meeting with the adviser at Utah state and found that my previous BS set me up nicely for starting this program Because I am already I teacher I get to apply for a paraprofessional teaching program allowing me to take all my teaching classes at night and can get paid at 5/8 salary for student teaching, which normally you don't get paid for.

I officially got re-accepted last week and will be taking a few math classes this spring and a couple elementary ed classes this summer then I start my levels which will be two semesters next year. I am both excited and a little apprehensive starting school again. Still working the two jobs and going to school is going to be a lot of work, but I have always loved school and am looking forward to the chance to be a full-time teacher.

Until the chaos begins I am hoping to keep my life as simple as possible. It doesn't seem to be working very well, but most of the extra things are fun, so I can't complain.

That's great! I admit I'm a little jealous. I never got even one bachelor's degree. I still might, but it will be very hard to do now. I miss school sometimes. Well, just the being in class and learning part, not the homework part. Good luck with everything!
